The association hosts public tea events and member group study to incorporate Chanoyu into everyday life. The organization also serves as the connection between its members and the Urasenke headquarters in Kyoto, Japan. It as its mission to spread that peacefulness throughout the Chicago area.

Anyone wishing to promote the understanding of chanoyu can become a member. Contributions are tax deductible as permitted by law.
